Harcourt Pear Cider Vinegar

Harcourt Apple Cider Vinegar is produced from fresh apple juice, naturally fermented and matured.  It is unpasteurised and unfiltered, and has the "Mother of Vinegar" still active in the vinegar after bottling. The mother retained in the vinegar ensures that the vinegar continues to mature, developing further in flavour.


Apple Cider Vinegar - 15litre
Harcourt Apple Cider Vinegar is a high source of Acetic and Malic acids. It is also a quickly absorbed source of potassium.

Harcourt Apple Cider Vinegar is a full strength vinegar, it is not a diluted solution (no water added).

Harcourt Apple Cider Vinegar is available in two varieties. These are:-

Mature Apple Cider Vinegar (12 month old minimum). Suitable for general use, i.e. human consumption (salads, medicinal) as well as for a stock feed supplement.

Sizes. Harcourt Apple Cider Vinegar (12 month old) is available in the following sizes:- 3L, 15L, Bulk (200 - 1000L).

  • pH  3.4
  • Titratable Acids  40 g/L
  • Volatile Acidity  30 g/L
  • Residual sugars  1.0 g/L

Vintage Apple Cider Vinegar (R)
Vintage Apple Cider Vinegar (8 years old minimum). This is our premium vinegar, aged on oak for a minimum of 8 years to enhance flavour. It is an exceptional vinegar for use in salads and cooking.

Sizes. Harcourt Vintage Apple Cider Vinegar is available in the following size:- 500 ml square presentation bottle.

Typical analysis:

  • pH  3.1
  • Titratable Acids  55 g/L
  • Volatile Acidity  45 g/L
  • Residual sugars  2.0 g/L

 Apple Cider Vinegar has a seemingly endless list of uses and properties, including but not limited to:-

  • Natural antibiotic
  • Hiccup cure
  • General purpose disinfectant
  • Chrome polish

It is also believed to help many conditions including:-

  • Infections
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle cramps
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Constipation
  • Fungal infections
  • Blood pressure
  • Birthing
  • Parasites
  • Soft shelled eggs (poultry)
  • Prevents algae growth in water troughs

When used as a personnal health tonic, Harcourt Apple Cider Vinegar, should always be diluted with water, juice etc, i.e 1 tablespoon of vinegar to a large glass of water or juice.

Suggested dosage guidelines for animals:-

  • Cattle 60ml/day
  • Sheep, goats, alpacas 10 - 20ml/day
  • Pigs 50 - 100ml/day
  • Horses 60 - 120ml/day
  • Dogs, small 10ml/day, large 20ml/day
  • Cats 5ml/day
  • Poultry 10 - 20ml/litre of drinking water
Vintage Pear Cider Vinegar. This is our premium fully matured Pear Cider Vinegar. It has a more subtle flavour than the Vintage Apple Cider Vinegar and lends itself ideally as a condiment for seafoods.

Produced in the same fashion as Apple Cider Vinegar and with similar properties, it makes a welcome addition to the discerning kitchen.
